Branchline Distributing, founded in May of 1979 by its owner Howard Chaet, has continuously expanded in its 26 years of business. Starting with just three employees and no customers in a building measuring only 4,000 square feet, BLD's goal was to create a nationally recognized company servicing stores throughout the world. Our unique system of over-the-phone sales has increased the number of dealers we service to over 75% of all the hobby stores in the US. Since most retailers don't place orders on Fridays, our salespeople work Monday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time. They work with the same stores on a weekly basis, creating a professional relationship. The longer hours benefit the customers who want to place their orders later in the day.
In April of 2006, we moved to our current location at 323 Park Avenue, in East Hartford, Ct. We have consolidated Hobby Stores Distributing and Branchline Trains to bring you top of the line in model railroading products. We are now known as Branchline Distributing.
As a result of our size, our great breadth and depth of in-stock hobby items, our professional sales force, and our internal promotional resources, BLD is uniquely able to satisfy all your hobby needs!
